Hello fudge slices!!
This post is dedicated to RELAXATION.
Ask any doctor, health adviser, or nurse; relaxing is good for you. If you don’t let your body wind down from time to time, you’re asking for trouble. We all have busy lives, so much happens in our day-to-day lifestyle, and we all get stressed. Therefore; it’s imperative to find some ‘me’ time.
I work Monday-Friday, and I spend a large quantity of my time rushing around London. I also seem to have very busy evenings; going to events, seeing my friends and family, and blogging of course! So, I try to find one night every ten days or so, to really pamper and relax myself to the fullest.
I did this on Friday just gone, after I had a really mad week and was super tired.
Bubble baths are the best thing in the world. I just love having a bath!
I was very inspired by the gorgeous Katie at Dolly Bow Bow’s you tube video, all about Lush bath products. Like many girls, I love Lush. I especially adore walking into their stores, to be greeted by the plethora of colours and smells, and the wonder at deciding what goodies I will be purchasing!!
I am always spoilt for choice, it’s actually quite a mean feat selecting what I need to buy!
However, I stocked up last week, and brought loads of goodies, all for exactly ten pounds! Result.
So, in this post I am going to show you the ‘Think Pink’ bath bomb, and the ‘Pop in my Bath’ bubble bar. Both smell sweetly of vanilla, look super girly and aesthetically pleasing, and more importantly are PINK!!! Obviously.
The bath bar is basically a bubble bath product with no bottle. It gives an impressive array of foam!! Just pop in the bath, and crumble it under the water. Then watch the bubbles grow. Luvverly!
After I had had enough of the bubbles (they lasted ages by the way) I popped in the bath bomb. It fizzed and bubbled, smelled terrific and best of all, left my bath water pink, with tiny hearts floating around!! Which I loved just to clarify; however, remember to clean your bath afterward as I imagine it would stain if you left it…
So, that is what I did dolls. I ran myself a hot bath, and put these lovely candles all round the ledges. My candles are from the lovely Paperchase, and they smell divine!!!
I then tested out my lush goodies, and laid back and relaxed. I continued to read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (for the millionth time) and just let my muscles relax under the soapy suds. I then got out; dried myself with a fluffy towel, and put on my fave cupcake pjs. I then settled down with a cupa and some pink macaroons :)
It’s a rock stars life ;)
How to you unwind? I’d love to know.
Lots of Love,
Laura
xxxx

ReplyDeleteThis sounds perfect. I find it really really hard to relax. When I try to do this (bath, duvet, tea and sweet treats) but i still feel like i've forgotten to do something, it's awful and it made me really poorly last year! I'm getting better and this has inspired me to relax more, and to make time for myself! x
