Cocktail rings are such great statement jewellery that blings up your entire hand! Especially if you have had a good manicure, cocktail rings set off the polish well. They have also have become increasingly popular too, stemming from the celeb trend of wearing 'big' jewellery.
Im a big jewellery fan, but cocktail rings are something I always wear, I feel strangely blank without a big ring!
They also jazz up a plain outfit with ease. If you are wearing a little black dress, and you accessorize with a chunky ring, the ring instantly adds interest and dresses up the outfit. Being very on trend means wearing one will make you look extra fashionable and chic...
Note though, too many oversize rings does look a little bit overpowering, you don't want to end up looking like you are a walking jewellery shop- or worse still, an Ice T wannabe!
Here's a pic of the lovely Leah Michelle with this gorgeous turquoise cocktail ring. As you can see, she isn't wearing any other jewellery, so the ring fits in well and looks so striking with her blush pink dress.
Same with the Queen of Bling, Jennifer Lopez. Her gold cocktail ring looks fabulous against her coral gown. Less is always more!!
Here's a few of my fave cocktail rings, I have a huge collection that I have been adding to for years.
I love flower rings like this one- very kitsch and girly. This light blue flower is made from moulded plastic, and as you can see, I have teamed it with blue polish to match :) Its £3 from Peacocks.
This one from Matalan, was £4. I love the pale cracked marble stone, and the silver wire wrapped round it is so unusual!
This one was £2 Primark. Its very sparkly and big! Completely dresses up my hand!
This diamante ring has a interesting shape. It was from New Look and was around £5.
This one was from Magnolia jewellery, and was a bit more expensive- £50. I know its rather big and a bit pricey but its the sort of ring that is a keepsake item that would look good with a an evening gown. No other jewellery is required when wearing a ring like this. Also, I want my engagement ring to be about this size! Ha ha.
Another Primark bargain! This was £2. I like the turquoise stone in particular, and the the way it takes up half my finger with the stems. Very boho!
Best places to get cocktail rings are Topshop, Diva at Miss Selfridge, Acessorize, and small boutiques and stalls for extra special, unique pieces that no one else will have.

Beautiful! You have good taste! x
